Drive Thru - Early 00's Pop Punk & Rock (UK cover band)
Переглядів 32011 місяців тому
Unified's very own Jon & Ryan play in a pop punk & rock band called drive thru, and so we used our filmmaking tekkaz to put together this showreel video for ourselves. It provides a good indication of the kind of reel we can put together for bands, with genre-appropriate attention to detail, lighting, camera-work, and everything in-between. If you're looking to book drive thru for your event, w...

Even if we are apart, I will always be with you | Remembering Reece

"From Reece to Ronnie - even if we are apart, I will always be with you." These words were spoken in a film we created for Tracey, whose son Reece had sadly passed away earlier this year. The film was made to someday pass on to Ronnie, Reece's little boy, who might hear the tributes of his father's loved ones and understand more of the amazing man he was, and how deeply he was adored by all.

    Hey everyone! 👋 I just stumbled upon an amazing find while reading an article on romance in historical fiction. I discovered Catherine Cookson, a renowned author, and now I'm really excited to check out her debut novel Kate Hannigan. 🌟 It's set in the Edwardian era and sounds absolutely intriguing with its deep exploration of societal issues and personal relationships. As someone from Poland 🇵🇱, I'm always on the lookout for new literary gems, and this random discovery has me hooked! Can't wait to dive in and share my thoughts with you all. 📚✨

    Old technology. Simply put, the reason why thermoelectric technology hasn't been already adopted in wood burning stationary applications is that it generates so little electricity. For every $100 in materials and electronics spent upfront might generate 10 watts. So for a $1000 upfront, you get 100 watts of surplus electricity when the stove is burning. Even in UK or other northern climates during the winter, solar + battery is more cost effective.

    For all those who also were quite frustrated by the evasive kind of answers to the three important features of the stove: I found the info finally on the website of the kickstarterproject. So: 1) thermal power is around 5 kW (which seems reasonable). 2) electrical power is roughly predicted in the range of 50W to 100W. 3) kickstarter price was 1950 GBP, current early bird price seems to be 2450 GBP, and the future fantasy retail price is imagined to be 3450 GBP.

    We tried to have wood burning stove. Sadly the regulations now covering soot & fumes have been made so strict that we need a unit attached to the back of the burner, which is larger than the burner has to be fitted. This won't work in our home without MAJOR & expensive alterations to rooms & building here in UK. V good idea he has provided your gov. Allows innovations like this.

    The stove can be made by any family man...but the ThermoElectric Generator can not. It should be the focus of the company - to create and manufacture ThermoElectric Generators and sell the tech design to every family at very reasonable and affordable price - If the goal is to solve the looming energy crisis due to political instability around the world. TEG companies are ripping people from around the world by their NON DEPENDABLE products. I wish your company could switch from making super stove to making and manufacturing TEGs for the COMMON people.

    So, fully automatic? Not sure it loads the fuel it self, so not really fully automatic. The electric generation may be "fully automatic", but say that, not that the stove is fully automatic. And, that's hardly revolutionary. You said it's thermoelectric. OK, so how many watts does it generate? What's special about your thermoelectric generation? And, what's the use of the "pump"? Your volt meter showed very low voltage, around 12V...which is certainly sufficient to charge a cell phone, but hardly enough to run a house. All shown was a wood burning stove. Nothing at all hooked up to it. An array of lights, sure they lit up, but had no connection to the stove, so who knows where the electricity for those came from. All incredibly vague and not, IMO, very revolutionary. And no, I'm not going to give you my info until you give me more info. Website has nothing either. If you do have something "revolutionary", I'd highly recommend providing more details up front.

    • @howardpym3385

      Well, what silly comments. An automatic washing machine does not come with a message to say you need to put the clothes in, an automatic car does not say you actually have to drive it, so what makes you think we need to say our stove needs someone to put wood in. 😂🤣😂🤣we can both be silly. Next, the stove in the film with light board. The lights are all plugged in to the back of the stove in the film, but I am NOT going to turn it round to demonstrate while it’s running. 😂 you also have fantastic eyesight to be able to see the meter showing 12 volts, another silly comment😂 Lastly please don’t subscribe because we only want info from any one interested in the stove. After saying all that, I still wish you a great weekend, kind regards Howard. PS it’s good to have a laugh.

    • @Dr.Bigglesworth
      @Dr.Bigglesworth 5 місяців тому

      @@howardpym3385 What's silly about it? It pointed out how vague and unsubstantiated the claims in the video are. Again, what's automatic about it? At least with a washing machine you know what's automatic up front. And an automatic car clearly claims "transmission type - automatic". Well, so you claim about the lights. No where can wires be seen between the stove and the light panel, the "view" is pretty clear. Being a for real EE, I am skeptical. WRT 12V on the meter, Perhaps you ought to watch the video! Talk about silly. The meter actually DOES show 12V! At 5:22. Unless "V" on the meter is not Volts but instead "Vaguery", which actually makes sense, as this is a 12 on a scale of 1-10 on vagueness. And, I DO have fantastic eyesight, thank you for noticing. 20/10 in fact. So good, that what's shown is likely NOT an actual meter, but a power supply, as it says "OUTPUT", and the right meter says "A". Those look like the meters on a lab supply, and I have similar ones in my lab (yes, I have a lab). And, the right meter shows about .5A, so @ 12V, 6W. Pretty low output if that's measuring your purported power output, but it is enough to charge a cell phone, so that claim I believe. Is that supply what's powering the lights? One light perhaps, but not the whole panel. You'd have to turn your power supply up a bit more for that. I would love to be wrong about this purported "revolutionary" technology, but until proven otherwise, what I see warrants skepticism.

    • @howardpym3385
      @howardpym3385 5 місяців тому

      Austin, I guess I was a little upset with your original message for which I apologise. The meter in the film had nothing to do with power out of the stove, I was testing something else while the film was being made. The film was made 4 months ago to draw attention to electricity poverty and pollution not to sell stoves.

    • @howardpym3385

      Just to finish, the stove has passed all certification to be able to be sold in more than 38 country’s to include the US, Canada, Europe and the Uk. It took 10 years to get to this point and has been viewed by many scientists over the years. Again kind regards Howard.

    • @Dr.Bigglesworth
      @Dr.Bigglesworth 5 місяців тому

      @@howardpym3385 Add one more scientist to the list of "viewed" ;-) Glad to hear, and all excellent, but as I first mentioned, it would be great if you would provided some specifics. If you are using some other technology besides TEG/TEC, that would be great to know more about. If not, not an issue, TEC/TEG is certainly viable enough. How many watts is the big question? With current TEG/TEC technology, you can get about say 200 watts out of something the size of the back of the shown stove (assuming the "electronics" are built-in), which is useful. If you could get 500W or even 1000W, that would be far more useful, which you may be able to with a purpose-built stove. Not enough to power a "regular" house, but enough to certainly be useful in many situations. We have to start somewhere. A purpose-built cordwood (or pellet) stove should get a lot more electricity out than a retro-fit stove, and may be able to reach the 1000W or far more. One issue I run up against with this as a "general" solution like this is what if you aren't in the heating season? If that's the case, then one would need some alternate source of electricity in the non-heating season. I would think that a heating solutions that is self contained (as in, can power the fans/pumps and all ancillary things required for heating) is great, and a different solution may be needed in parallel (likely solar or geothermal at this point in time) along with a self contained heating solution that would obviously be used in the heating seasons only. Cooling I look at as luxury (and a different problem), heating is a necessity. The self contained heating system would not require much, if any, electrical storage, which IMO is a very positive thing. Just good regulation and control, which is what I assume you meant by "automatic" (low voltage/current drop out, maintains tight output voltage range). All just my opinions, of course. So, in no way am I poo-pooing your ideas, on the contrary, I am trying to flesh them out. There is a lot of puffery on the Internet, which I am sure you are aware of, and it's sometimes not so easy to weed out the chaff. I do appreciate your responsiveness and willingness to engage. That in and of it self say says a lot. It is a good video, just wish it had more. BTW, you did say "fully" automatic ;-) Best of luck, I look forward to seeing and hearing more about it. Dr. B.

    Yea, I suspected that this would be another fake video with no real information that the title claims. Thankfully I realized this rather quickly, I just waisted 2 min and 37 seconds until I watched the other comments. I wonder what those who clicked the "thumb up" was expecting, or is it just a collab with bots?

    Could be good, idk. Need more about what it is and how it works and output, less about natural disasters & listing things-you-can-use-electricity-for. We're all pretty familiar with using electricity inside a home at this point.

    No one doubts there is pollution. However the 'global warming' BS got changed to 'climate change' as scientists realized we are heading for an ice age.

      Hi John 🥶I hope not. Yet on the other hand humanity will survive and our wonderful planet will heal itself. I guess we would still have millions of years left, especially if we, like Walt Disney, are frozen so we could be brought back to life in the future. My edit was to wish you a good day, kind regards Howard.

    If you are going to do a video about a wood (any fuel) burning stove that produces electricity I think most people who would be interested might like to know how much (voltages, wattage etc,etc/per hour/time period) basic bare facts including size, weight dimensions! These are the things that are important, we don't need a f**king lecture about bloody spacecraft, global warming, etc. Get on with the details could have been done in four to five minutes. Anyway wishing you all the best and good luck.
